It was around 1-1:50 a.m.
when I was returning to my
room at the 4th floor of the
hotel. I was then walking at
the corridor, which 3-4 adults
side by side can pass, when I
noticed a guy walking towards
me.
I was surprised that when
we crossed paths, He intentionally bumped me. He
smelled intoxicated, obvious
ang amoy ng alcohol.
I could have let the obvious harassment done to me
pass, but my husband who
was waiting for me near our
rooms door saw what happened, no sorry was heard
from the guy who brags to be
the son of the owner.
A simple sorry would do
sana but my husband, educated as he is, let the incident
pass and we went inside of
our room. Pagpapatuloy pa ni
Carlene, We were about to
sleep na sana then suddenly a

very Loud Bang from our door

and shouts from several Angry
people were heard outside our
room.
When we checked, we saw
an old guy (na diumanoy ang
may-ari ng hotel), the guy
who bumped me, and his older brother, & 2 security
guards.
Since we saw a supposedly decent elderly man, my
husband opened the door, but
he was hit by a pitcher by the
elder ____ (pangalan ng hotel
owner).
By instinct, my husband
who at that juncture was
about to be mobbed, got a
bottle of liquor and used it to
ward off the elder ____ , who
we heard was hit on his wrist
by the bottle.
To my surprise, instead of
being the peace maker, Mr.
____, I clearly saw, released d
1st blow to my husband, then
d 2 security men held my husband down and All 5 of them
manhandled, mostly on d
head, my husband. I intervened.
Even I received some blows
from them. They only stopped
when I pleaded. Guess what
the older man, and d instigator of it all, the younger ____
were All intoxicated. They
shouted for us to immediately
leave d Hotel.
Which we did for my priority is our SAFETY and my husband whom I rushed to d hospital in Kalibo (2hrs. Travel)
for a CT scan.

WHILE most everyone else is
trying to reduce raised collective BP as in Blood Pressure
with Manny Pacquiaos recent unanimous decision loss
to bitter rival Floyd Mayweather, Jr. with a frantic BP
as in Bangong Puri or simply put, damage control measures in the mainstream media and the internet, I will
try to give a sober, impassioned and objective take on
the matter.
Surely, Manny showed the
most heart in that fight but
Floyd showed more brainwork---smarts, cunning and
cleverness.
What is more telling was
the fact that Floyd took complete control of the bout
from the opening bell which
he never relinquished, a fact
not lost to all three judges
assigned to the fight and
most of the boxing fans,
hardcore or otherwise watching live or on other media
platforms.
The fact is, Floyd took control of almost everything related to the so-called Fight for
Greatness from the day he affixed his signature on the contract managing to clearly install and impose himself not
only as the A Side but the
LEAD promoter despite
protests from Bob Arum.

For a fighter not known as

bookish for Sun Tzus Art of
War, Floyd showed great understanding of control of the
terrain and the territory as
key to victory.
In the ring in the actual
fight, Floyd also took control
of how the warfare would be
conducted as he proceeded
to dictate the tenor, tempo
and pace, another key element highly instrumental in
the judges giving him their
unanimous vote as victor.
Meeting Manny in the
center ring once the action
begun, Floyd made it very
clear to Pacquiao and the
spectators that he would use
his size, constant movement
and his pinpoint jabbing and
counter punching to put his
opponent in the most uncomfortable position as possible.
Floyd, in the post-fight interview said that his primary
objective at the beginning of
any fight, in fact, in this case
heading towards the fight, is
to make the opponent, most
uncomfortable as possible.
Once he managed to do
that, it followed that Floyd
would proceed to estabsh his
own comfort zone which he
did right in the first round.
Floyd would later said, I
knew I had him right from
the first round.
Knowing that he could
not sustain his strategy of
keeping the action in the
center ring, Floyd began to

employ strategic retreats

that allowed Manny to
work him over in certain
spots but also allowed him
some respite and lay traps
to which Manny constantly
fell enabling Floyd to connect with his well timed
counters.
In those tense moments
while his back was on the
ropes and in the corners--which gave trainer Floyd Sr.
fits----Floyd also showed another C--- composure--- and
presence of mind as he effectively caught most of Pacquiaos punches with his
gloves, arms and shoulers
and rolled or slid away from
trouble.
Floyd later employed another C for good measure--his check hook that landed
cleanly and hard on Pacquiaos face almost at will
when Floyd felt like using it.
In the finale, Floyd employed yet another of his favorite C---coasting to a clearcut points win.
One fact is lost to many
who disputed Floyds victory--that each round is scored
by the judges in its entirety
and the judges usually favored the fighter who
showed control of the action
in general while landing the
most scoring punches utilizing distance management
and acute sense of timing.
That was the story of that
fight.
