Georgia Cabinet Form of Government Amendment did not appear on the November 2, 2010 ballot
in Georgia as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. The legislative session ended on April 29,
2010 and the proposed amendment was not approved for the ballot thus eliminating it for 2010.
The proposal called for creating a cabinet form of government. In other words the heads of the state's
Agricultural, Insurance, Education and Labor departments would have been appointed by
the governor and subject to Senate confirmation. According to reports the four agencies under the
proposal had approximately 6,000 employees and budgets of about $7.5 billion. [1][2]
