    Recuva found files that the virtual machine did not recognize that I have not deleted so I think it searched the actual computer as well. This is some pretty powerful software that you can use to recover the lost or accidentally or purposely deleted items on your computer. If the file hasn't been written over which might have very well been the case in the files that were unrecognizable to the virtual machine.

    My experience with recuva was interesting I found files that the virtual machine did not

    recognize that I have not deleted so I think it searched the actual computer as well
    which means this is some pretty powerful software that you can use to recover the lost
    or accidentally or purposely deleted items on your computer that is if the file hasnt been
    written over witch might have very well be the case in the files that were unrecognizable
    to the virtual machine but considering that it was a new one because apparently it broke
    the last one I had after playing with bios
