To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Stephanie Bohn. I have the
pleasure of being able to describe Stephanies strengths both academically and professionally. First, I
will briefly discuss Stephanies academic strengths from my experience having her as a student in my
Social Statistics course. Her ability to understand statistical concepts placed her at the top of her class.
She earned a 96.9% in the course, a grade that is far above the average and certainly one that indicates
she is in the top 1% of all students I have taught in this course. In addition to Stephanies strength as a
student, I can also speak to her work ethic as I employed her in a mothers helper position. For this
position, she was required to assist my wife with a variety of tasks, none more important than child care
for our two young sons, 3 years old and 3 months old, respectively. Stephanie was always on time and
prepared and was very good at following directions. The thing that stood out most to me was her
interaction with our three year old son Everett. Everett was diagnosed with a speech delay and
Stephanie was wonderful with working with Everett on his communication. She would always speak to
Everett in a way that communicated clearly what she was doing and encouraged responses from him,
which ultimately led to Everett working on his vocabulary and pronunciation. She would bring specific
toys with her that would enable her to play with Everett while interacting in a positive way, specifically
with his speech. Moreover, Stephanie always accomplished whatever tasks she was assigned, whether
as mundane as helping with the childrens laundry or as important as serving as sole caregiver to both
children.
It is my belief that Stephanie will make a great educator and I therefore would strongly recommend her
for a teaching position. If you have any questions or would like any clarification, do not hesitate to
contact me.

Sincerely,

Brian M. Jennings, PhD
