Herbivore: An organism that eats only plants.


Carnivore: An organism that eats only animals.
Omnivore: An organism that eats both animals and
plants.
Food chain: a diagram that shows how energy in food
flows from one organism to another.
Food web: A diagram that shows feeding relationships
between organisms in an ecosystem.
Energy pyramid: A diagram that shows an ecosystems
loss of energy.
Ecology: The study of the interactions of organisms with
one another.
Biotic: It describes the living factors of the environment.
Abiotic: Describes the nonliving part of the environment,
including water rocks, light, and temperature.
Population: A group of individuals of same species that
live together.
Community: Consists all of the populations of the same
species that live together.
Ecosystem: Made up of a community of organisms and
the abiotic environment of the community.
Biosphere: The part of Earth where life exists.
