Professional Utility Board is an independent utilities consultancy helping large clients to manage
their assets and reduce their utility costs. We use our knowledge and technical skills to analyse
client assets and provide recommendations on Procurement, Energy Management, Sustainability
Reporting and Regulation. Having been very successful in the acquisition of new clients, we are in a
growth phase and seek a bright self-starter to join our small friendly team.
We are looking for an outstanding Graduate with an interest in Energy Markets to take up the role
of Energy Analyst, supporting our Senior Analysts, the Sales Team, and our Clients.
, You would assist our senior Analysts in;
Undertaking detailed analysis of our clients usage patterns and requirements, end to end
tender management and recommending the appropriate course of action to ensure the
optimum commercial and contractual outcome.
Tracking and analysing market trends and the underlying fundamentals.
Supporting senior staff to create Energy reports for our large clients.
Building relationships with major Energy Retailers and Generators.
Monitoring regulatory developments in the market to provide recommendations both
internally and externally.
You must:
Be tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering or Economics.
Have full time work rights in Australia.
Be proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Have the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
Have a can-do attitude, be proactive and demonstrate initiative.
In addition the ideal candidate will;
Demonstrate highly developed analytical/problem solving skills and commercial acumen.
Possess strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Show effective time management skills.
Have a broad understanding of the Australian Energy landscape.
Understand the regulation and schemes that impact on large businesses energy costs.
Completion of Energy Markets courses ELEC 9714/9715 would be beneficial
