Use:
The present perfect always has a connection with the present. We use the
present perfect for:
A recent actions which happened at an indefinite time in the past.

Ex: Peter has lost his golf ball. He is looking for it.
An action which has recently finished and has results in the present.

Ex: Peter has lost his golf ball. He cant play without it.
An action which started in the past and is continues into present.

Ex: Peter has played golf for years.


Compare:
He has practiced a lot today.
(the day hasnt finished)

He practiced a lot yesterday.


(finished time in the past)

Form: Has/ have + past participle (main verb)


Time expressions frequently used with the present perfect: already, not
yet, never, ever, just, for.

Practice:
1 Put the verbs in brackets in the simple past or the present perfect.
