Spelling Menu for May 2015

Please choose 2 different activities to complete each week (Monday through Thursday) to help
practice your spelling words for the week. After you complete the activity, ask a parent to initial
the box and return to class on FRIDAY. Staple any work to this sheet and return it to school. All
written work is expected to be turned in NEAT and COMPLETE.

Write each of your spelling


words. Then write a
synonym for each word. If
you cannot think of a
synonym, use a short
phrase.

Prefixes = Red
Suffixes = Blue
Roots = Green

flip a coin. If it lands on
heads the sentence
must have an even
number of words. If it
lands on tails it must

one color, the prefixes in
another color, and the
