Many geographical features protected Egypt from

invasion. For example, the Nile River included a large

amount of cataracts which protected Egypt from invasions
using boats. A second geographical feature that protected
Egypt was the Mediterranean Sea. The Mediterranean
was vast, resulting in a lot of work knowing where to
invade. Even if you knew where to go, there was no
guarantee that there would be no storms. To the west of
Egypt stands the Sahara Desert. The Sahara also protects
Egypt because of its dry, waterless landscape makes it
hard to travel long distances. This evidence implies that
natural boundaries, such as the cataracts of the Nile, the
vast Mediterranean Sea, and the dry Sahara Desert, do
indeed protect Egypt.
