VERITAS 25th CELEBRATIONS TO WARM THE WINELANDS THIS WINTER

Veritas, South Africa's oldest and most esteemed competition for market ready wines, is celebrating 25
years of excellence in 2015. It is widely regarded as the most authoritative wine show for consumers, with
the availability of at least 1 200 bottles to the public being an important criterion for winning wines.Backed
by a stringent judging system, the Veritas emblem has garnered a reputation as a leading indicator of
quality for wine buyers over more than two decades.
In the run-up to this year's competition and to celebrate the monumental milestone, Veritas will be
presenting a series of exclusive tastings in various towns in the Cape winelands. Expect warm Boland
hospitality at these events, which will take visitors on a journey through the history of the competition with
an outstanding selection of classic Veritas gold and double gold winning wines. The tastings will be
presented by members of the Veritas executive board, who are all well-known and respected figures in
the South African wine industry, at the following venues:
Paarl 26 May at the Boys High clubhouse at 19:00. The presenter will be Charles Hopkins, Veritas
chairperson and cellarmaster at De Grendel.
Somerset West 3 June at Lourensford Estate at 19:00. The presenter will be Bennie Howard, vice
chairperson of Veritas, Cape Wine Master and marketing manager at Meerendal.
Worcester 10 June at PricewaterhouseCoopers Worcester at 19:00. The presenter will be Christo
Pienaar, winemaker and manager at Nuy Cellar.
Stellenbosch 23 June at Lovane Wine Estate at 19:00. The presenter will be De Wet Viljoen,
cellarmaster at Neethlingshof.

Light refreshments will be served after the tastings. Ticket prices are R150 per person and reservations
