Intro- The royal courtyard after the Kings funeral

L: Wasnt that a beautiful service, Amara?
QA: Nothings beautiful anymore, my King is dead, beauty does no longer exist.
L: Dont think that way stepmother. His death was tragic, but hes in a better place
QA: HIS PLACE WAS WITH ME, WITH US! How could he die on us like this?
L: I know stepmother. No one wanted to see him go, but life in the kingdom must go on.
QA: You, as always, are right.
L: Are you ready to take your place as the only ruler, or do you want to postpone the coronation?
QU: The kingdom needs a queen immediately, let us go now.

The Coronation
L: Alena, thank you for preparing my attire. This dress is phenomenal.
A: Anything for you. I am so sorry about King Kane. He was a splendid ruler.

L: I know. I just hope mothers okay.

A: Shes the queen. Im sure she will be fine.
L: I hope you are right. (Turns to Queen Amara) Are you ready stepmother?
QA: (overly-dramatic sigh) as ready as Ill ever be.
L: (turn to audience) I now announce, due to the death of the beloved King Kane, Queen Amara
will take the throne. I know we are in a time of grievance, but we must go on. The kingdom is in
need of a strong ruler, and Queen Amara will be great as such. (Places crown on QAs head)
QA: (accepts crown) I accept the position as such. My heart is still burning with the sorrow of
my beloveds death, but Lilith is correct, the kingdom needs a ruler. I will be that ruler, and
aspire to be a great one.
(Queen and Princess curtsy, and they all walk out)

Princess Chambers
(Both Alena and Princess Lilith sitting on the floor)
A: Are you sure you dont want me to do anything?
L: No, no. You are my friend, even if not in title. I dont want you to work, get me anything, or
do anything.
A: As that is, I am still a maid in name and am paid to do such. (She attempts to get up)
L: (Stopping Alena) Please, Alena, just for tonight, forget that, and be my friend. I really need a
friend right now. I need a distraction from my father death, and all the depressing black clothing,

and all the sadness spreading around the kingdom. So please, just for tonight, be my friend. Do
you think you could do that?
A: (Sitting back down) Okay but I have to leave soon. Its getting late.
L: Stay the night, then.
A: I could never!
L: Please Alena?
A: I dont even have night clothing.
L: You can borrow some. I have a lot. Please stay?
A: (Hesitates for a moment) Yes, Princess Lilith. I will stay. So what do friends do?
L: First of all, friends call each other by their first name. So dont call me Princess.
A: It is your royal title. I couldntL: You can and you will. Say it with me. Lilith
A: You are a princess, I could neverL: Alena, say it
A:L-Lilith
L: Good.
A: What else do friends do when they spend the night together?

L: Well, I dont know exactly because I havent been allowed to leave the castle, let alone make
friends and have them over.
A: Nor have I. (awkward, tense moment of silence) what do you imagine friends do?
L: I think friends stay up late, and make each other laugh. I think they complement each other on
haw they look. They probably play fun games like dress-up and eat a lot of food. What do you
think they do?
A: I think they joke with each other, and braid each others hair. I think they do each others
make up, and stay up past bedtime. I think they dance around to ridiculous music and talk about
boys.
L: We can do it all! (She gets up, jumping off the floor.)
A: (Gets up slowly) Okay, but first let me fetch so foodL: What did I say? I dont want you doing anything. Let me get the food.
A: Do you know where it is?
L: Of course I do- um, no I dont. Where is it?
A: Its downstairs, past the Queens chambers. You then make a right turn and the third door on
you right is the kitchen.
L: Got it.
(About 2 minutes later, Lilith is back in the room)
L: I did it! The kitchen is a wonderful place, full of wonderful foods. I want to live in there!

A: (Chuckling) thats great. What did you decide to bring Lilith?

L: I brought chocolate, bacon, and ice cream. Those are the main foods that bring happiness to
the world.
A: I agree completely! (They both start to eat)
L: So shall we start this overnight gathering of friends, Alena?
A: We shall.
(Both exit stage hand-in-hand)

The Queens Chambers

QA: (Talking to herself, sounding deranged and insane) I AM QUEEN! I AM QUEEN! Finally, I
am queen. It took a lot to get here but look at you Oona, on the throne. Me is just glad me has
finally killed that awful beloved King of Kane. Nasty king of Kane. After all that time as his
wife, all those awful knights in our chambers, pretending to love his disgusting human form me
is free! Me has wasted ten years with him, but it is okay, because me never need to see him
again. Now if only I could burn this human body vessel (pitching the skin in disgust) and go
home. But not yet Oona, not yet. We have things to do if we want to claim this world for fairy
tribe, much to do. (Takes out list and reads out loud)

9.) Do to another village and another until we are the dominant race.
And then all will be well and fairies will all bow down to Oona. They finally will all respect you
as their rightful queen (overly dramatic evil laugh then walk off stage).

Through the Hallways of the Castle

(Alena and Princess Lilith are walking together, Queen Amara in background)
L: I am very worried about these killings, Alena. It has been a month since they started and
twenty people have already been found dead in the town square. I know Stepmother has sent the
guards looking for a killer, but it seems there is no trail from the murderer. I just wish there was
some way for me to help. The victims have no wound and no sign of suffering. Its almost like
magic!
A: Now, there is no such thing. Im sure the guards will find the killer quite soon. Its only a
matter of time. The village is not that large. Anyway, there is no way you can help them in the
state of worry you are in now. Come, we will get you some tea from the kitchen to calm you
down.
L: Thats probably a good idea. Its just it has only been two months since father died and the
coronation happened, and its a lot for stepmother to be taking on.
A: I know, but Queen Amara is a strong woman. She will be able to conquer this hardship. But it
wont help if she is worried about you. Now please, lets go get some tea.
L: Okay.
(They walk for a bit)

A: I will meet you there. I must use the restroom.

L: Okay, but hurry soon. I dont to drink tea alone.
A: Of course (Lilith walks off stage)
A: (Starts walking to restroom but overhears queen talking to herself in her chambers)
QU: (In creepy whisper to self) YES, YES the villagers are dropping one by one and nobody
suspects Oona or as they say, Queen Amara. Soon all the peasants will be gone, leaving the
princess and the other workers of this repulsive castle. Then me will kill them all! Then Oona
will transform nasty kingdom into beautiful fairy forest. Then Oonas plan will be perfectly in
place, and I can go back to fairy form (evil laughter, then walks off stage leaving mortified Alena
in wake)
A: (Whispering to herself) Oh my god! The Queen! She did this! I have to tell the Princess- I
mean Lilith! But will Lilith believe me? What if she thinks I am conspiring against the kingdom?
But I cant let the deaths continue! This is all so much! I dont know what toL: (Yells down the hall) Alena! Its been a while! Are you almost finished?
A: Yes! Coming!

Back in the Princess Chambers

(Alena is tucking Princess Lilith in)
A: Goodnight Lilith. Do you have everything you require for a good nights rest?
L: Yes, I have everything but can you stay with me tonight?

A: If you really want me to, I am not opposed to it. May I borrow some clothing then?
L: Sure. (Goes to get clothes then hands them to Alena) Are you okay?
A: No- I mean yes- I mean
L: You know you can tell me anything, right?
A: Yes, and I appreciate it but what I have to say might be too far-fetched for you to believe me.
L: I promise it wont be. You are my best friend. I will believe you Alena.
A: Okay. The queen is the one killing people. Shes trying to claim the kingdom for the fairies
because she secretly is one. Her real name is Oona and she is using a human vessel to hide in.
Shes going to kill everyone and then kill you. (Lilith looks at her like shes crazy for a good long
moment.) Im sorry I said anything. I knew I said too much. (Another awkward silence) I will
just leave. I am so sorryL: Wait. (Short pause) You must understand how impracticable what youre saying is.
A: Yes, I knowL: And you must understand the difficult position you put me in as a princess, yes?
A: I understand that butL: But because you are my friend, and you have never steered me wrong, I will confront the
queen about it in the morning.
A: Are you sure? I dont expect you toL: I know you dont expect it. Thats why I will do it.

A: (Hugs Lilith, and Lilith vigorously hugs her back) Thank you. Would you like me to go with
you when you confront her?
L: No, I think it would be better if I did it alone.
A: Whatever you prefer. I am just so thankful you would do this for me.
L: And I am thankful in you trusting me enough to tell me this. Now we should get some rest.
Goodnight Alena.
A: Goodnight Lilith (They both walk off stage)

The Confrontation in Oonas Chambers

(Queen Amara is already on stage when she hears a knock)
QA: Come in. (Lilith enters) Oh hello beloved step-daughter. It has been a while! How are you?
L: Im fine. I have a quick question, Oona.
QA: Yes?
L: Why did you respond to Oona, Stepmother?
QA: Um, well- Wait! Why would you call me Oona?
L: Why would you kill all the villagers?
QA: (Creepy voice starts) SO FAIRIES TO PROSPER!!!
L: So everything was fake? The love you shared for my father and I was all fake?
QU: Sorry Hun, Oona only cares about self, my fairy friends, and world domination.

L: Well, I must stop you.

QU: Sorry, you wont live long enough to do so (put hands out and Lilith dropped dead)
L: (Dies)
(Alena barges in)
A: Noooooooooooo! How dare you kill her you termagant! How dare you!
QU: OONA DOES WHAT OONA WANTs! You cant stop me!
A: (pulls out net) Oh yeah! (Throws net overhead) Try to escape now, you errant, earth-vexing
scut.
QU: (Freezes under the net, and laughs, trying to play it off) Thats alright because even if you
do have me captured, no one will ever forgive YOU for killing the queen, you lowly servant.
A: First of all, yes they will because while you were out today, I installed cameras in your room
so I have your confession of doing all of the killings and you killing the princess. Second of all,
Im not going to kill you, Im going to send you back to your Frost Forest.
QU: No! Please Dont! How do you even know how to?
A: Sorry, not sorry. And you shouldnt leave your fairy mythology books by your desk. (Puts
hand on net) I REPENT YOU IN THE NAME OF MURDER AND CONDEM YOU BACK TO
YOUR WORLD!
QA: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo! (Runs off Stage)

The 2nd Coronation

Voice: I now announce the new Queen, who brought justice to the land, informing us of the
magical forces of the world and protecting us from them. Please pay your respects to Queen
Alena!
A: (Grabs crown and places it on head) In memory of Princess Lilith, I accept this position,
hoping to make a better tomorrow for all of us, no matter where you come from, or where you
are in life. We are all worth something, and we all deserve to have a friend. And with this
mentality, our kingdom will improve to a state.
