Dear Potential Employer,

It has been my pleasure to have Rachel Frost as a student teacher in my American Sign Language
classroom for the majority of the 2014-2015 school year. Her caring personality and effective teaching practices
would be an asset to any school. It is without reservation that I recommend her for hire.
Ms. Frost has a genuine passion for her content area and is committed to providing her students with
rigorous and relevant instruction in ASL. She consistently delivers focused lessons with clear content objectives
to guide students towards a solid understanding of the material. Ms. Frost remembers what it was like to be a
language learner herself; she uses this to her advantage in sharing her experiences with students and shaping
lessons accordingly. Students accountability is an integral component of Ms. Frosts class, along with clear
expectations for respectful behavior. Students benefit from not only the content of the class, but also the
collaborative and respectful culture.
Here at Marana High School, Rachel has gone the extra mile to become part of the school community.
She has attended student fund raising events, performances, and staff meetings. Students feel comfortable around
her, yet are also aware of her clear discipline expectations. Her caring yet firm manner in the classroom will serve
her future students well.
If I can be of any further assistance in recommending Rachel Frost for a teaching position at your school,
please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,

Gail Johnson
