My classroom instruction is rooted in research. I base my pedagogy off of strategies that are proven to work. Students must be taught the material in a way that is both compelling and interesting.

How will classroom instruction vary with in my classroom?
T H E R O L E O F I N S T R U C T I O N A L S T R AT E G I E S : My classroom instruction is rooted in research. Each strategy that I utilize within the classroom is evaluated in its ability to fulfill the content standard, enforce the appropriate level of cognitive demand, show evidence of strategy effectiveness, the strategys practicality within classroom limitations, and its ability to support students learning needs. I understand and value the importance of effective instructional strategies and base my pedagogy off of strategies that are proven to work and encourage student success. In order for students to reach content mastery they must be taught the material in a way that is both compelling and interesting. Students need for the delivery of information to be broken up into meaningful chunks and to allow for varying learning styles and intellectual preferences. Classroom instruction is a means of engaging students and allowing them to interact with content in new ways. Because of this reasoning I will constantly change up the instructional strategies that I use in order to keep learning fresh and exciting. I will implement strategies with a large array of purposes such as; identify similarities and differences, summarize learning, utilize nonlinguistic representations, create cooperative learning environments; as well as, use cues and advanced organizers.
