    Andwhilewelivedtogether,IpromisedherIwouldpainther.Thereare5Stagesof
    GriefDenialandIsolation,Anger,Bargaining,Depression,andAcceptance.Andthese
    stagesdonotnecessarilyoccurinorder.AsIhaveworkedthroughthisseriesIhave
    beenabletoworkthroughthefinalstagesofgrief,BargainingandAcceptances.When
    mycousinwasalittlegirl,herparentsdivorces.Asawayofcomfortingherchildren,my
    Auntcameupwiththesefairytaleswhereeachofherchildrenwereaherooftheirown
    story.HeroldersisterwasEliza,PrimaBallerinaoftheButterflies,herelderbrotherwas
    Forrest,LordoftheTallTrees,HeryoungerbrotherwasPrinceJakeoftheSnakes,and
    herlittlestsisterwasKatiebugoftheLadyBugs.ErikawasQueenoftheSunflowers.
    Shehadatattooofasunfloweronthebackofherneckplacedwhenshewasold
    enough.Shehadalotoftattoosandtheymeantalottoher.Sheworethemwithpride.
    Mostofmyfamilygotsunflowertattoosasawayofrememberingher.Iamunableto
    getatattooandfeltasadnessatnotbeingabletoparticipate.SoIfoundIcouldhonor
    herlifeinawaythatIfeltconnectedtoherandmyfamily.Thisseriesistheresult.
