School, PETE DUNIGAN Severn. Child Soldiers: Forced to Kill. Capital, (2006): C.1.
This article was found through the CSUN library. I feel this article will make my
essay more powerful because of the numbers it states. Because I am
comparing the violence in The Hunger Games with children with children
worldwide, it will strengthen my essay. For example the author states how a
former 13 year old soldier talks about his experience and what they did to
one another in order to stay focused and ready to kill
Singh, Maanvi. Hes 14. He was a child soldier. Hs suicidal. How can he be saved? NPA, 11
March 2015. Web. 18 April 2015.
This article was found through the search engine of Google. I had typed in ex-child
soldier survivors story. Many articles came up but this was the most appealing to me because it
not only talked about the survivor but also statistics on male and female students who suffer from
depression but no one knew. This type of information was used in my essay to describe how the
Hunger Game tributes dont turn out to be perfect just like how they appear to be on the screen.

Maloney, Devon. "The Violence in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Is Actually Good for Teens |
WIRED." Wired.com. Conde Nast Digital, 25 Nov. 2014. Web. 18 Apr. 2015.
This article was found through Google. There was a lot of information from this article
that I wanted to expand on but that would cause me to be off track from my own topic. This
article explains two intelligent individuals and their perspective on the Hunger Games Trilogy. It
was useful towards my essay because one of the authors agreed with my statement which would
help my essay become more powerful than before.
"Child Soldiers in DRC." - Child Soldiers in DCR. N.p., n.d. Web. 21 Apr. 2015.
This article was found through the search engine of Google. At first I had read the article
and thought how it wouldnt be helpful because I couldnt find the author nor the publish date.
However, I read it another time and realized how credible the information would be in my essay.
Also how it is an organization that helps children worldwide. I had read my essay at the end and
realized how convincing my one paragraph was.
