I created this room arrangement based on the layout of my

mentor teachers classroom. The desks are arranged in pairs of
two so all students can easily see the board without having to
turn their heads all day. The pairs of two can simply be joined
with another pair to make groups of four. There is a walkway
both horizontally and vertically between each pair so I can
easily walk around the room and reach each student. I can also
seat students with behavior problems close to my desk. I
wanted the computers to be at the back of the room so as not to
distract students during class time. I feel its important for the
classroom library to be comfortable and inviting so I have a
couch, rug, and multiple chairs for students to sit in while
reading or working on assignments. I also have a rug at the
front of the classroom so students can sit in front of the board
comfortably as well.
