What is heartworm disease? It is a

serious, sometimes fatal disease where
worms inhabit the heart, lungs and
their associated blood vessels. It has
been diagnosed in all fifty states and
because mosquitoes can come inside,
indoor cats and dogs are still at risk.
How is the disease transmitted?
Mosquitoes transmit immature
heartworms through bites. It takes
six months for these immature
worms to become adults. Adult
heartworms can live seven years
in dogs or three years in cats!
What are the signs of heartworm
disease? Many pets in the early
stages have no signs. As the disease
progresses, signs may include
coughing, exercise intolerance,
lethargy and weight loss. End-stage
heartworm disease may produce
heart failure or blockage of the heart.
Heartworm Disease is Preventable!
Dogs should be on a monthly heartworm preventative because treatment
for the disease is dangerous, costly
and requires months of cage rest!
Oral tablets or topical liquids are
recommended, but please consult
your veterinarian for the product
best suited for your pet. Yearly blood
testing for heartworm disease is
also encouraged even if your dog
is on a preventative.
radiusmag.com

Heartworm Disease in Cats:

Cats can be infected, though worms
do not reproduce inside the cat
and most worms do not survive
until adulthood. However, immature
worms and even one adult worm
can cause severe damage and even
death. There is no treatment, so
prevention is the only protection!
Options for prevention include
monthly topicals or oral tablets.

MUSIC / THE WEEPIES

The Weepies:
Surviving the
Sirens Call
Deb Talan of The Weepies on recording an album
while fighting breast cancer | by Adam McGrath
Deb Talan, one half of the husbandwife indie pop duo The Weepies,
laughs through the phone as she sits
on the porch of her Iowa home. Her
musical and parenting counterpart,
Steve Tannen, has just brought their
two-year-old son outside to pee
on the lawn.
Hes being potty-trained,
Talan chuckles.
Its the kind of everyday family scene
that has colored The Weepies 15-year
career together. Originally linking
up in Cambridge, Massachusetts,
Talan and Tannen were mutual fans
who became bandmates and then
spouses as they moved to California
and released three critically and
commercially successful albums with
the Nettwerk Music Group.
Its also the kind of scene that
was very much in jeopardy only
a year before, as Talan and her family
wrestled with a Stage 3 breast cancer
1 2 / R A D I U S M A G A Z I N E / M A Y J U N E 2015

diagnosis. Entering treatment at

the start of 2014 just weeks after
receiving the news, she made several
decisions about how to face her
situation. Talan decided to be public
and positive about her fight, and
she decided to keep doing what she
loved. Thankfully, her cancer went
into remission in June.
On facing things head on, Talan
says, It felt like the right direction
to go in. We discussed it, there was
some thought about it, but the feeling
was, I dont want to hide this. Its
not like were the only people going
through this.
At another time in my life it may
have been different, she continues.
We may have been more private
about it, but for some reason, right
now, it felt right to reach out and tell
people what was going on. Selfishly,
for me, getting responses from
people who had gone through it was

so encouraging. There were times

when I would sit down with a box of
beautiful notes people made and just
soak in the love. It was really very
strengthening.
It seems only right that someone
who has put so much love into her
music should be the recipient of such
an outpouring, and all the support
inspired Talan to continue writing
and recording music throughout her
treatment. A few pieces were already
in the works for the bands first
studio album in five years, but all of
the recording was done after she was
diagnosed, with an impressive array
of guest musicians collaborating
remotely from all over the country.
The songwriting process wasnt
too different from the way the duo
usually tackles it. The first step is
to make time for it.
We definitely have to structure
songwriting into our life, Talan
explains. It will be a few months
where we commit two to three hours
every day. Well start stuff on our
own, get a thread going, and then
work on it together.
Each songwriter has their
preferred creative environment,
however. Steve likes to write outside
the house, Talan says, and I very
much prefer to write inside the
house, where I can still answer the
cries of Mommy if I need to.
Once they developed enough
new Weepies material, they started
thinking about players for the album.

drummer Frank Lenz, bassist Jon

Flaugher, guitarist Meg Touhy, and
keyboard player Brad Gordon were
already on board, but the roster soon
expanded beyond that.
Steve and I basically said to each
other, Okay, were here in Iowa, if we
could have anybody that we wanted
in the world to play on this, who
would it be? Talan recounts. And
we were so lucky to put together
this kind of dream lineup.
That lineup includes Pete Thomas
(Elvis Costello), Gerry Leonard
(David Bowie), Rami Jaffee (Foo
Fighters) and more, with many
of the musicians using technology
to work on their part of the project.
It was different doing things
remotely, Talan admits, but we
made it work. A couple times we did
Skype sessions with an arranger and
brass band in New Orleans, so with
1 4 / R A D I U S M A G A Z I N E / M A Y J U N E 2015

the technology it was like we were

in the same room.
Other times, she continues,
like with Pete Thomas, we would
talk about the song ahead of time,
but we really wanted him doing his
thing, so if we had been in the room,
we wouldnt have necessarily done
anything more than we did, with
the minimal back and forth that we
had with him.
She continues, saying that many
of [the guest musicians] are on the
road a lot, working so hard. Gerry
Leonard would text, saying I have
three days at home coming up. Make
sure you send me everything you
want me to work on. It was great.
It might seem like a daunting task
piecing together clips from so many
different musicians, but The Weepies
are practiced hands are selfproducing, and had plenty of ideas

for experimenting with different

sounds on this album.
The producing work is always
us, Talan claims. We like to do that
work. That creative process seems
like such a natural extension from
writing, because when we write,
were already thinking / feeling
other stuff going on.
Sirens, released April 28th under
a new agreement with Nettwerk,
successfully captures the sweet,
poetic sound that has won the band
millions of fans, but also branches
out into new territory. Album openers
River from the Sky and No Trouble
are upbeat indie rockers, Wild Boy
and Brand New Pair of Wings are
personal family stories, and Tom
Pettys Learning to Fly and Mark
Gearys Volunteer take on new life
here. But the spine that supports the
album comes from the successful
experimentation on Fancy Things
and Early Morning Risers, the
former channeling the fuzzed-out
electronica of Garbage and the latter
coming off like a ska song with that
stellar New Orleans horn section.
Its an amazing album, made even
more so by the story of struggle and
triumph that shaped it. Deb Talans
signature artwork stands proud
on the album cover, and the music
within moves and inspires. The wife,
mother, musician and artist has
a lot to celebrate, and she will sing
her reclaimed Sirens song Tuesday,
June 23rd at Union Transfer in
Philadelphia. | r

With Three New Albums On The Horizon,

J.B. KLINE

Lambertville legend J.B. Kline learned

to play guitar for the coolest possible
reason. When we were 16, my friends
were putting together a band, Kline
recalls. I told them I played drums
and asked if I could be in their band,
they said they already had a drummer,
but if I could learn to play the guitar
for their gig on Friday I could be
in the band, so I went home and
talked my mom into buying me
an electric guitar.
The three songs he learned by
Friday all had the same chords and
Ive been playing guitar ever since,
Kline laughs.
Years ago, while in Atlanta, Kline
snuck backstage to meet his hero
B.B. King who advised him to go
to a big city, so Kline did what any
impressionable, ambitious musician
would dohe moved to New York
and stayed there for six years playing
with various bands. Years later Kline
shared a bill with King at a show in
New Jersey. I told himhey man,
Im here, I did what you said.
In 2012 Kline released his second
album, Belvidere Line, to critical
acclaim and is currently working on
his next record. Itll be out before
the summer, says Kline, then Ill

start on the next two, one which will

be mostly acoustic guitar and the
other will include vocals, but will
be more mellow. Theres something
about big production that wears you
down a bit.
With a recording studio, coffee
shop, art gallery and music store/
school/repair shop all on the same
premises, you could easily spend an
entire day there. In May, the gallery
hosts the Lambertville Public School
art show and in June, their annual
photo show and contest. Every
month from September through
May, the gallery hosts an open
mic night and you can catch Kline
himself at Havana in New Hope the
last Sunday of every month. | r

Walking through the inviting doors

the centrally located, incredibly

well as a makeup artist at Paramount

and Sony Studios. She also spent five
years as a promotional representative
for MCA Records. However, Lefebvre
craved a change of pace and began
an artist-based business involving
custom made jewelry inspired by
her time on Nantucket Island. She
yearned to create her own designs
and assemble a shop of her own. It
was also important for her to create
affordable items that the everyday
woman could splurge on and not
feel as though theyve just made
a mortgage payment.
Lefebvre developed a working
knowledge of the craft of jewelry
making and began creating her own
unique pieces. She also does a lot of
what she calls Vintage Revamp by
renewing vintage pieces to upscale
what you already have or redesign
a vintage item that has been recently
found. Many of these items can
be found in Sconset Flair looking

as if they were built yesterday, yet

holding a certain elegance that only
a vintage piece can maintain.
While on Nantucket Island and
now in Doylestown, the boutique
supports local artisans by featuring
locally made items such as handbags,
belts and home dcor. Lefebvre
carries fair trade items and vegan
handbags. She hand picks clothing
made in Milan which is flattering
to a womans figure and her wallet.
Beautiful scarves and the latest
fashions line the walls while paintings
by local artists adorn them. She
also works with customers to find
items that fit their price range.
She recounted a day where a teen
shopper visited her store looking
for a birthday gift for her mother.

2 8 / R A D I U S M A G A Z I N E / M A Y J U N E 2015

This dutiful daughter was working

with a limited budget and Lefebvre
spent the time with her to find the
perfect gift. The mother loved the
gift and when her daughter told her
how wonderful and helpful Lefebvre
was, she visited the boutique and is
now a customer herself.
Its about paying it forward and
building trust with your customers
and your community, Lefebvre
says with a smile.
Some might wonder why Lefebvre
would leave Nantucket Island and
open up shop in Doylestown. She was
raised in New York and as a child her
parents often traveled with the family
outside of the city to visit towns
like Doylestown and New Hope.
Doylestown left a lasting impression
on her and upon revisiting the area
as an adult, she decided that it
would be the perfect location for
her boutique.
This April, Sconset Flair Boutique
celebrated a one year anniversary
in the Doylestown location. Lefebvre
looks forward to the stores future in
the community and it is safe to say
that the community looks forward
to what Lefebvre comes up with next.

a strong lean toward environmental
conservation.

works for Landscape Design Group
in Doylestown.
Like everyone at WDVR, Guli and
Molter make no money from Into the
Garden. The station is non-profit and
everyone works there for the greater
good. Molter says the show encourages
a better stewardship of our planet.
Care of our earth starts in our
own backyards, he says. WDVR is
an all-volunteer station. We walk off
the street and without supervision,
we take over a studio and blast out
that message for an hour each week.
As a professional gardener,
horticulturist, and artist, I am most
inspired by topics where I come
away with a deeper appreciation and
understanding of nature, says Guli.
She stresses that its important to
take on topics about the environment
and wants to teach people how to
make small changes, starting in their
own yards.
Guli was honored when Molter
thought of her to co-host. I have a
passionate interest in environmental
conservation and in doing the right
thing. I was excited to have an
opportunity to spread the message
to so many people via radio. We
share the importance of native plants,
organic alternatives to harmful
chemicals we use as a society and

the necessity of connecting with
our environment.
Guli resides on five, mostly meadow
acres full of natives to support local
critters, such as Monarch butterflies.
She also raises chickens and has
a large vegetable garden. If youre
planning a vegetable garden, just go
for it, she says. Study the space and
decide what would work best- raised
beds, containers, planting directly into
the earth. Learning from successes
and failures in the vegetable garden
is the way to success!
Molter clarifies that gardening
isnt always the only thing to happen
in a garden. Healing, art, poetry,
writing and stewardship are part
of the process. For more tips and
topics, tune in from 5pm6pm
every Wednesday.
We have fun, and hope our
listeners do, too, says Molter. We
have guests come on each week, both
amateur and professional, who love
what they do and are willing to share
their knowledge and experience. | r

COVER ARTIST / JAMIE MANGOLD

Jamie Mangold
This Bucks County Illustrator Tells Magical
Stories Through Her Art | by Jane Roser
When I was attending Moore College
of Art and Design, one of my favorite
indulgences was to make bi-monthly
excursions to the Brandywine River
Museum in Chadds Ford to visit
my favorite paintings, many of
them works from the Golden Age of
Childrens Book IllustrationsHoward
Pyle, N.C. Wyeth, Maxfield Parrish
and Jessie Wilcox-Smith. Every artist
had an exhilarating way of rendering
their work to tell a story; they did
exactly what the word illustrate meansenlightened the viewer.
The works of Bucks County
illustrator, Jamie Mangold, remind
me so much of these classic artists,
both in her technical ability and
her hauntingly magnificent use of
space, color and texture. As a child,
3 4 / R A D I U S M A G A Z I N E / M A Y J U N E 2015

Mangold became interested in telling

stories through art. She would draw
postcards and sell them for five cents
each and loved adventure films such
as Raiders of the Lost Ark where the
hero was always on an exciting quest.
I remember always thinking about
the adventure in what I was doing
[at the moment], says Mangold, like,
what if Im sitting on this swing set
and the next thing I know, Im flying
off into the clouds? Ive always loved
looking at the wild side of things and
using my imagination to create.
Inspired greatly by the comics of
Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes)
and Charles Schulz (Peanuts), as
well as the Disney films she watched
as a child, Mangold attended the
University of the Arts as an animation

major. Soon, however, she discovered
it was not a good fit. A lot of my classmates were further ahead technically
than I was, explains Mangold, I
felt that what I was creating lacked
a certain emotion, so I switched my
major to illustration.
For her senior thesis, Mangold
chose to illustrate a variety of human
emotions, including anger and
hope. Anger was a man whose
face morphed into a raging pit bull,
says Mangold. Its interesting when
you connect with yourself on such
a deep level as an artist.
Besides Watterson and Schulz,
Harry Potter books, Alfred Hitchcock
films, the instrumental music of
Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Ros
and nature are all huge influences
on her work. Im also a fan of
Romanticism, says Mangold, one
of my favorite artists is Caspar
David Friedrich. He did a painting
called Woman at a Windowits
a woman watching a ship go by
through her window and that exact
moment was captured. You can see
his appreciation of the overwhelming
emotion of nature and it just really
inspires me.
Many artists will use computers
nowadays to draw their work, but not
3 6 / R A D I U S M A G A Z I N E / M A Y J U N E 2015

Mangold. Thats not me, she says,

I worked with this esteemed
illustrator named Jonathan Bartlett
and with his help I discovered that
my drawings were very strong, but
I was wasting them underneath acrylic
paint, so now Ill get a thick piece of
paper and Ill draw out all of the details
using real life references, then I scan
that in and color it in Photoshop.
Being extremely accurate in her
details is important to Mangold and
she will do painstaking research
to give her drawings character and
life. If Im drawing a mountain, for
instance, I wont just Google any
mountain, Ill Google Icelandic
mountain in Reykjavik and make
sure that its exactly correct. If Im
drawing a feather, I need to have
it in front of me and I pay close
attention to the colors around me
or that I might see in a movie. The
best example I can think of is in
The Sixth Sense where everything
that was important was red, but a lot
of it has to deal with emotion, too.
If I want the piece to be sad or to
have a lot of energy, then Ill use
different color palettes for each one.
Mangolds online portfolio is
incredibly impressive; from the
silhouettes of Jem and Scout in front

of a full, ripe yellow moon on a To

Kill A Mockingbird book jacket to
several golden-hued hands clutching
at falling feathers in Icarus, each
piece is visually stunning and
intoxicating. Icarus [was inspired
by] a very trying time in my life,
explains Mangold. It was my senior
year of college and there were many
competitions going on between
students; it was very turbulent, so
I took the legend of Icarus and made
him a female, representing myself.
The hands are like the drive of
competition and depicts how people
will try to conquer your weaknesses.
Aesops Secret is a charming
piece depicting Aesop surrounded
by animals as hes sleeping under
a tree. The use of space keeps your
eye moving and I love how the dark
colors of the tree branches and crows
3 8 / R A D I U S M A G A Z I N E / M A Y J U N E 2015

frame the rather glowing Aesop who

is oblivious to the fox trying to eat
the book laying on his stomach. I
just asked the question- how did he
come up with these stories? What
if he never wrote them? What if he
was some kind of animal whisperer?
What if he fell asleep in the middle
of the forest and all these animals
who are more intelligent than they
lead on to be have stories that we
dont know about and somehow
Aesop was able to interpret them?
Mangolds next project is a childrens
book shes working on with one of her
former high school teachers about
Earthships in New Mexico, which
are unique houses made from natural
and recycled materials that are
100% sustainable homes.
Wise beyond her years, Mangold
offers sage advice for young inspiring
artists: Dont compare yourself to
others. Comparison is the thief of
joy. My sister told me that once and
its true; when you compare yourself
to others you are detracting from
yourself. Instead, if you see someones
work you like, learn from it, but dont
become discouraged, practice and
find your own path. Its all about
focusing on yourself, not comparing
yourself. One of my favorite quotes
is you dont need luck, you just need
time and people need to take time
to become who they are. | r

SPOTLIGHT / SUSAN EVERSHED

Artist Susan Evershed Explores

a New Side of Her Talent | By Adam McGrath

I began to see the

flowers like I would
see skin. You have to
look for all the colors
underneath.
Eversheds previous skills quickly
translated to her new approach. I
used to paint portraits, she recounts,
and I began to see the flowers like
I would see skin. You have to look
for all the colors underneath.
Painting flowers has helped
Evershed tap into a softer side of her
personality, leading her to discover
new ways to appreciate art and life.

Doylestown resident Susan Evershed

is a woman with drive and discipline.
For most of Eversheds 20-plus years
in Bucks County, that energy has
been directed into functional yet
aesthetically charged projects, such
as renovating her Victorian house on
Green Street and building a wooden
boat from scratch in a neighbors
garage. However, art has always
had a place in her life. Whether
practicing mechanical drawing with
her engineer father, earning a BFA
from Pratt Institute in New York,
or studying portraiture with Sharon
Sprung, Evershed consistently

exercised her natural aptitude for

drawing and painting.
It wasnt until a fortuitous meeting
with a well-known patroness of the
arts, however, that Eversheds painting
took on new subject matter: flowers.
I was at an impasse until about
a year ago, when I met the Countess
Lucienne von Doz, she explains.
She saw my paintings, my still-lifes,
and she said, You have to paint
flowers. I thought, Well, Im not
really the flower-painting type.
And she said, Just try it. So I tried it.
And I just kept at it, like everything
else, and I found I really liked it.

My thing has always been

getting really tight into something,
she says, and I dont want to do
it that way anymore. Its hard for
me to loosen up, but Ive found
a gentler side of myself. Painting
flowers just makes me appreciate
what simple beauty really is.
Eversheds work seems to be
resonating with the community,
as she sold six paintings at a onewoman show held in a Doylestown
art gallery last year. Plenty of folks
like to walk by and watch the artist
at work, but the best way to keep
up with her paintings is to visit

CREATIVE WRITING / R. BRIAN ROSER

Fatherhood
The toughest job youll ever dear lord, how many
fluids come out of this thing? | by R. Brian Roser

In the Spring of last year, my wife

told me that I was going to be a
father. I was so excited, I wanted to
shout it from the rooftops, but she
swore me to secrecy. For the first
trimester, at least. Apparently, thats
when most miscarriages happen
and it would be devastating to tell
everyone we were expecting, only to
have that happen. Since were not so
much young, as that other thing, our
5 0 / R A D I U S M A G A Z I N E / M A Y J U N E 2015

odds of complications were higher

and I didnt want to jinx it. I did do
the Snoopy Dance, though.
We made the big announcement
on Fathers Day last year. I gave my
dad a card addressed to A great
father and grandfather. He gave
a toast to the new addition and there
was happiness all around. There
were also, however, things they didnt
tell me about what to expect.

The first was lack of sleep. I mean,

yes, they mentioned it and I told
myself I was ready for it, but one
night, it was three in the morning
and I hadnt slept in 36 hours. I went
to the bathroom, only to realize that
my underwear was on backwards,
but I couldnt fix it, because I had
forgotten to put down the mug of
coffee or the screaming baby. Thats
when I discovered what it was to be
lacking in sleep.
Another was the feel of my
daughters head against my cheek.
This is pretty sappy, but I love the
feel of her soft, smooth skin against
mine. The weight of her in my arms.
I feel like Im protecting her; keeping
the bad world at bay while I provide
a small place of warmth and comfort.
I also thought I was ready to sing
to her. I even memorized a German
lullaby to expand her cultural horizons.
The first night that I stayed up with
my daughter, I sang it to her. Then I
realized that it was three more hours
until my wifes shift started and I had
only taken up about two and a half
minutes of it. I could just stay quiet, but
it actually seemed to help. Sure, there
were other songs in my repertoire, but
most of them were by Alice Cooper
or Guns N Roses, and I didnt think
hang on Shes got a smile and shes
screaming again. Never mind.
Also, lullabies are stupid. Theres
one where mommy buys a mockingbird, diamond ring, looking glass
and none of them work. I think its
supposed to end with youll be the

sweetest baby in town, but I changed
it to mommys gonna get a bat and
go to town because after that kind
of crappy customer service, my
wife would totally get a Louisville
slugger, head over to the fulfillment
department and go sick.
The last was that I am not as clever
as I thought I was. Whenever I put her
on my shoulder, she slides down to
the crook of my arm. In this position,
its hard to see if she is asleep or not,
so I put my iPad down on the dresser
to see in the reflection whether or not
her eyes were open. They were. So was
her mouth and blarp half digested
milk all over my iPad.
Yes, its a work in progress, but
I am learning.
As I write this, Mothers Day
is coming up. I reminded my wife
and she said Oh right, that applies
to me now. It does, because she is
a wonderful wife and an excellent
mother to our child. Our daughter has
never known a day without smooches.
I intend to make sure that this remains
true for many years to come. | r

SPOTLIGHT / BUCKS COUNTY DESIGNER HOUSE & GARDENS

Bucks County Designer

House and Gardens
40 Years of Promoting
Local Talent and
Businesses Through
Design | by Rebecca Robinson
Spring has arrived in Doylestown and
with it has arrived the 40th annual
Bucks County Designer House and
Gardens. The Village Improvement
Association of Doylestown (VIA), the
annual sponsor, expects the Designer
House and Gardens and the
corresponding events to draw eight
to ten thousand visitors to the area.
In a departure from the traditional
farm houses featured over the last
40 years, this years design house, Villa
dBraccia, is modeled after an Italian
villa. Fully embracing the influences
of the Mediterranean architecture,
the designers, landscapers and even
the caterers are eager to showcase the
broad range of their talents over the
next few months.
Designer House and Gardens
festivities launched with the Empty
House Party on March 1st. This fun
chance for locals to see the house
before the designers begin work
included a silent auction, craft beer
and Mediterranean treats and wines.

Designer House Fashion Show 2014

As guests moved through the house,

they were able to view the planned
transformations for each room. Shortly
after, the designers got to work turning
their visions into reality on the inside of
the house while landscapers prepared
to tackle the gardens.
With so many people bustling
about things could easily get chaotic.
Luckily, the VIA was prepared with
an army of roughly 600 volunteers
that greet and direct visitors while
almost 80 VIA members handle
the administrative side of such
a large undertaking. The design work
continued until April 20th when
the VIA began preparation for the
Preview Gala on April 24th.

The 2015 Preview Gala opened

the five-week event and this year
celebrated the 120th anniversary
of the VIA as well. The Preview Gala
is a fun party and great opportunity
to see the house before it opens to
the public, VIA member Joy Levy
explains. This year, the Gala began
with a VIP Champagne Reception
and featured a wide array of Tuscan
delicacies prepared by James
Hollander Catering.
Once the Designer House opened
to the public for tours on April 26th,
it became the setting for a variety
of community and special events.
On Sunday, May 3rd, Bova Foods
located in nearby Chalfont, sponsored
the Mediterranean Culinary Event,
an opportunity for 50 people to
participate in, and sample, an Italian
cooking demonstration provided
by Martine Bertin-Peterson, owner
of Got et Voyage, in the kitchens
of Villa dBraccia.
In conjunction with the Designer
House, the Doylestown Country
Club is the site of the annual fashion
show on May 7th and 8th to exhibit
local designers and boutiques. Meet
the Design Team on May 14th is an
event to discuss with the designers
how they were influenced by the
Designer House itself as well as what
some of the challenges were that they
encountered in executing their plans.
Doylestown Hospital is taking
over the Designer House on
May 16th for Doylestown Health
Community Health Fair where free

screenings and information will be

provided for those interested. The
next day, May 17th, the Cock n Bull
Restaurant is hosting the annual
Heart Brunch to support the Heart
Institute at Doylestown Hospital.
The Designer House comes to
a close on May 30th with the Blue
Jean Bash, a casual BBQ style party
to celebrate everyones hard work.
Finally, the June 6th Landscapers
Plant Sale gives locals a chance
to bring the 40th Bucks County
Designer House and Gardens into
their home.
The Designer House is a perfect
combination of premier local event
and major fundraiser for Doylestown
Hospital and the mission of the VIA,
says Levy. The events benefit from
the wonderful support we receive
from our many benefactors and the
great enthusiasm and energy of our
thousands of guests. | r
