Provided individual counseling services to a population of 650+ diverse students in a
Title I school using a variety of counseling theories
Planned and delivered academic, personal/social and career classroom guidance lessons,
including a college readiness unit to 80+ fifth graders, resulting in a 71% collective
increase of participants reporting a higher level of awareness about college, careers and
their goals after high school
Created and facilitated a wide range of small counseling groups on topics including new
student transitions, social skills and academic achievement
Planned and led small groups on improving school attendance for students with 20+
tardies, resulting in an overall decrease in tardies and all teachers reporting some
improvement for their students attendance
Consulted with parents, teachers, administrators and students to improve academic
outcomes
Co-chaired the Student Support Team of specialists and teachers who worked together to
provide intervention strategies to help children be more successful
