Activity 2 (Students Instruction sheet)

Instruction sheet ( 10 blue shirt button, 10 red shirt button, 40 yellow pins, 40 green pins are provided for each pairs)
1. Sit in pairs
2. Each pairs are given 1 set of buttons and pins and a diagram
3. Blue button - oxygenated blood (haemoglobin with oxygen)
red button - deoxygenated blood (haemoglobin with carbon dioxide)
yellow pins carbon dioxide
green pins - oxygen
4. Based on information above, arrange the position of pins on the appropriate button.
5. Then, arrange the position of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood (buttons)to the appropriate area on the diagram given (The
number of pins and buttons placed on each area must be suitable according to its concentration)
6. Practice to describe the
i. diffusion of oxygen from the alveoli into the blood capillaries,
ii. explain on how the haemoglobin transport the oxygen and carbon dioxide, and
iii. describe the diffusion of oxygen form the blood capillaries into the cells
7. Your partner can ask questions along your explaination
8. Draw the picture again on a piece of paper (with label)and develop Science process text based on your explaination
