Determining Someones Future
After composing two interviews with two of my classmates over what they should be
doing 5 years from now, it is obvious that the second interview was a better success. I received
more information from the second interview because by asking a question based on my previous
question I was able to guide my interview and receive maximum understanding and information.
The information recorded on the second interview was more vivid and organized. The
information I received from the second questionnaire provided more information and depth than
the first interview.
According to the information I obtained from my questionnaire with my classmates it
became apparent to me that the second interview gave me a clearer picture of the goals they had
for their lives. The first interview gave little information about their goals because I did not have
their goals in mind when I wrote the first 10 questions for the first interview. Since I was able to
ask questions as I went along it then came to my mind that goals are a very important factor of
what their future will hold. Unlike the first interview I was able to develop a claim about Gloria
and what she should be doing later in life. It is clear to me that the second interview allowed me
to recover better information, it allowed me to catch a glimpse of their goals and lead me to
develop a claim on what they will be doing in their future.
