The Philippines known

as an Agricultural
country in which 47% of
its land area is
agricultural.

According to

conservative estimates,
the amount of biomass
residues generated from
sugar, rice and palm oil
mills is more than 200230 million tons per
year which corresponds
to cogeneration potential
of 16-19 GW.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

With the continuous production of agricultural wastes here in

the Philippines, the student must be able to create an

innovation strategy that will improve its use all over the
Philippines.

OBJECTIVES:
To identify an alternative material for construction that is

efficient, sustainable and affordable.

To determine if agricultural wastes can be used as a

material to a building envelope and formulate a conclusion to

which type of construction it can be used.

To determine the limitation of the materials in consideration

of its life span & stability
