Visual and Performing Art/ Physical Education

Being prepared able to teach Visual and Performing Arts/ Physical Education means to
have the knowledge to be creative in dance, music, and visual arts. Even more importantly to
help students understand how all of these are relevant. Help students see that art is important by
having everyone involved like families, artists, community groups, and representatives of
museums, galleries, colleges, universities. These will help the student have a variety of
experiences for imagining, exploring, and creating the visual and performing arts. I want my
future students to remember that everyone has some kind of art skills in them and they could be
creative in their unique way.
My visual arts and physical education taught me to have skills in being more creative and
technical when it comes to art or physical movement. I have learn to develop creative and
technical skills to become a leader in my field of art, dance, music or physical education either in
a dance studio, private or public school. My Dance 440 and Art 301 classes also help me
understand how to teach dance or art to my future students by being a fun and creative teacher
through appropriate movements for students using STEM; science, technology, engineering, and
math and hands on projects.
My artifacts are two art pieces a black and white drawing and colored drawing in a twodimensional in my Art 301: Arts and Crafts. The drawings required me to do two art pieces that
at the end it would look like a two-dimensional and use many of the art creative skills and the the
standards. These art pieces demonstrate my understanding of art on a two-dimensional and how
art connects to all the grade levels standards. It also demonstrates my ability to be creative and

unique. Im looking to helping my future students engage in the study of art and how it could be
so much fun and anyone could be an artist.
