Joshua Lawrence 5 Year Plan

My main goal is to eventually become a physician assistant. In order to become

one, I will need to graduate high school and pass all of my classes. If I want to go into
the medical field, the most important ones to pass are ROP medical occupations and
Anatomy. I have less than a month left at Merced High School. I need to finish strong if I
want to fullfill my dreams. This is highly essential.
After completing my classes at Merced High School, I will continue my education
at Merced College. I have taken the accu placer test, orientation, and have attendended
a student planning session. I plan to meet with a counceler at the college to discuss my
classes and major. I will begin college in the fall of 2015. My first year will be completed
in the summer of 2016. I want to take a foreign language course, a mathematics class,
a biology class, a classical music class, an english course, and classes that will help me
to become a radiology technician. Before you become a physician assistant, you are
required to have other medical experience first.
During my second year of college, I will continue to take the other classes
necessary for the radiology technician program and my biology major. This may include
microbiology or chemistry. There is a new degree that you can recieve at Merced Junior
College if you plan to transfer to a four year university. It is specifically designed to give
you the classes that you need to get into a CSU or UC.
After I complete junior college, I am considering going to UC Merced. During
these two years, I want to become a part time radiology technician.
