My Story

It started off as a typical day. It was sunny and warm and the sky was clear. Got to eat
breakfast and headed out to school. I walked into my third grade class and did the usual routine,
which consisted of multiplication and division, prefixes and suffixes. I sat to the left of my best
friend back then, David. We were just looking at the clock waiting for it to strike right nine so we
can go to recess. Recess came and we ran for the cherry balls so we can go set up a court and
play Cherry ball. As David and I ran to get a cherry ball, Miguel and Noel guarded a court for us
to play on. The four of us gathered together and started to play Cherry ball, which is pretty much
bouncing the ball on the ground to then eventually bounce off the wall and back on the ground
so your opponent can try to the same. The meanest teacher on campus yelled across the
campus with rage Freeze!. Everyone outside stood still. the next thing i know is he started to
marching to my direction points at me and exclaims You! got to the principals office! . He
walked me down the path to the principles office and as soon as we were out of everyones sight
he pulls me aside and asks for my name and the name of my teacher. We change directions
and go to the back way of where my class room was located. We walk inside the class room
where he met up with my teacher and he began to tell her what i had done. i couldn't hear him
for i was seated at the far side of the room. They walk towards me and hand me a detention
notice. My eyes watered for they had never seen a detention slip with my name on it. the recess
bell rang and my peers walked in the class room. I sat the rest of the class time with my head
down avoiding eye contact with anyone inside. The last bell rang which let everyone know it was
time to go back home, except me. I had to go to Mr. Fornieghs class room, the teacher who
wrote my slip, and serve what seemed to be a never ending sentence of nothing. I ended up
having him as a teacher my fifth grade year and turns out he's not as bad as everyone makes
him out to be. I never grew the courage to ask him why he ever gave a me a detention slip,
instead i let be and admired my work on his wall by his desk that allowed everyone to see my
great work.
