The research on animals is the unique research that cant be replaced by a
synthetic research. For instance, development of drugs and medicines is thanks
to the sacrifice of mice and rats. These animals are used being protected by
each nations law. Its true that not all labs in the world are regulated, but
according to AMA they are forced to use the 3Rs to make not only researches
as efficient as possible but also makes researches bearable for animals. In
summary, naive people could believe its not true but animal research is
unfortunately necessary.
