Last year she was a student in my U.S. History class. Amy is a responsible and determined young lady. She does not view failure asa setback but as a motivating force. Amy began the year struggling in U.S. History. By the end of the first semester she had improved her grade to a “B* as a result of hard work and a refusal to accept early failure as her plight. By the end of the spring semester she had one of the highest grades in her class. She is an amazing young, lady and will be successful in whatever she chooses to pursue in life. Ofall my students last year I was most proud of her and what she accomplished. Outside of the classroom Amy plays on the girls Volleyball team. In her junior year she was a team captain and chosen most valuable player. She also finds time to participate in community service activities such as the Night Walk, Surf City Marathon and the MADD Walk. After high school Amy plans to attend college and pursue a career as a registered nurse.
