I am interested in applying for the position of auto technician at Firestone Complete
Auto Care. I learned about this opportunity from my neighbor, Rob Giffen who has
had his vehicle serviced at your business. Mr. Giffen has told me of the quality and
professional care of his vehicles at your company. I believe that my skills and
personal traits make me an excellent candidate for this position.
As you will see on my enclosed resume, I completed the Automotive Technology
class at the ERESA Career Preparation Center during my junior year of high school.
As a part of the class I was exposed to several areas within the automotive field
where I learned a variety of tasks related to repair, service and maintenance. This
experience has given me the confidence that a career in the field of automotive
technology is the right one for me. I plan to continue my education at Lansing
Community College.
