Indonesia is a country that has

high prevalence of chronic kidney
disease, about 30.7 million people.
According of PT Askes 2009 datas
show that insidence of chronic
kidney disease in Indonesia reach
350 per 1 million peoples.

ChronicKidneyDiseaseis a failure of kidney function to

have metabolism, fluid level and electrolit because of
progresif kidney destruction with accumulation of metabolit
residue (uremic toxic) in the blood (Muttaqin & Sari, 2011).

Ureum can measure by looking at blood urea

nitrogen. Blood urea nitrogen level is caused by
urea complex production, metabolism and urea
excretion balace.

Uric acid is metabolism residue of purin from food

that we consume. Uric acid also side product of
eritrolysis (Warianto, 2011)

medical record of Chronic Kidney Disease patients.

Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria
Chronic Kidney Disease patients
Chronic Kidney Disease patients which have done
laboratorium examination and had laboratorium result from
uric acid and ureum.
Exclusion criteria
Chronic Kidney Disease patient with gout
Chronic Kidney Disease patient with neoplasm

Operational Definition
Uric acid

Ureum

Uric acid is metabolism residue

of purin from food that we
consume. Uric acid also side

Discussion

Uric acid enhancement and crystals formation that obstruct

kidney can cause acute or chronic kidney disease. Otherwise, in the
early stage of chronic kidney disease, can show kidney excretion
interfence so uric acid serum usually increase. Uric acid serum that
above normal can have symptom or not (Price and Wilson, 2005)
Uric acid excretion decrease because of kidney fuction
disturbed for example glomerulus failure function or there is
obstruction so uric acid in the blood is increase.

SUGGESTION

There are many reason of increasing uric

acid at chronic kidney disease patients, to
decrease deviation, it should check uric acid
before and after therapy to know the
relation of increasing ureum and uric acid
more appropiate.
