In the movie poster, the producer uses the idea of the mockingjay to create the image that the

girl has wings. This is effective as

it makes the film seem like its
magical. Something you wouldn't
want to miss. It also portrays the
main character as being a hero
like figure within this film.

In the movie poster we see

the main character standing
in front of a ring f fire. This
shows what the film is about
in movie detail to the teaser
poster. Also the ring for fire
has been zoomed in on more
than in the teaser poster to
draw more attention to the
details of the image.

Both teaser and film posters contain the use of fire. The
fire in the background implies the genre of the film is
action adventure. Due to the fact of fire being used in
both posters implies that this film is trying to tell you
there is some type of danger involved as fire tends to
connotes danger.

Making the name of the film mockingjay stand out more

than the hunger games is to show that this film is not the
same as the ones before. This is shown in both teaser and
film posters. You will need foreknowledge to understand
the difference in the posters to the rest and to understand
the meaning of the mockingjay title. The use of the title
being in gold connotes that its almost preciouses in a way
that gold is represented with wealth and prised possessions.

Both movie and teaser posters

have the same colours scheme
within them. In my opinion I believe that both teaser and film
posters are mostly similar bar one
or two aspects.

In the teaser poster; rather than

having the main character, we
have a image of a mockingjay
stood proudly in front of the
ring of fire. This is just giving a
brief representation of what the
film is about and is mainly
stating the obvious as its just
showing the name of the film in
a different nature. The image is
also further back to what it is in
the movie poster as its not as
important.
