Competency 007:

The teacher understands and applies principles and strategies

for communicating effectively in varied teaching and learning
contexts.
I believe that it is very important for students to be on the
same page and that includes those students who may
learn different than others. I will include group help,
homework and work hard with every student.

Competency 008:
The teacher provides appropriate instruction that actively engages
students in the learning process.
I want students to feel comfortable within my classroom and
want them engaged in the lesson and ask as many
questions as needed.
Competency 011:
The teacher understands the importance of family involvement
in childrens education and knows how to interact and
communicate effectively with parents.
I will keep the parents informed of their childs progress. It
is very important for parents to be involved in their childs
education to keep them on track.

Competency 012:
The teacher enhances professional knowledge and skills by
effectively interacting with other members of the professional
community and participating in various types of professional
activities.
It is important for me to continue improving my education
skills, I can learn from more experienced teachers,
workshops and through my own experience.

Competency 013:
The teacher understands and adheres to legal and ethical
requirements for educators and is knowledgeable of the structure
of education in Texas.
I completely understand the rules given to teachers
through the structure of education in Texas. This is
important knowledge to go by in the classroom.
