The Ugliest Hag Alive

It was Paris, France in 1971; it was the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror. I was working
the iron gates when this old wrinkly hag came up to me on an old wooden vegetable cart. She said her
son had the plague, and all the guards jumped back quickly. Through my helmet, I looked at her face and
saw the long dirty tangled gray hair, and the long bony pointed nose. Her dark brown bloodshot eyes
looked like they have not had much sleep in a while; her left eye was swollen almost to the point where
it was closed. Her dry cracked lips were not a pretty sight; the left side of her mouth was open whilst the
right side was closed. Furthermore, her face was wrinkled and had many moles all over her face. On top
of her head was a white, slightly dirty bonnet, over her shoulders was a knitted grey tattered shall.
Under the shall was a black mid-cut blouse, and under that there was a small grey shirt coming under
the black one. In addition, she had gloves that only covered her palms of her hands on. She had a light
brown dirty dress on, under that barely visible there was some brown boots. Irritated she said Get on
with it open the gates! So I yelled open the gates. Therefore, the big brown gates slowly started opening
and the old wooden vegetable cart left Paris. I remember plain and clear that on that day in Paris,
France in 1971 I saw the most horrific sight I have seen my whole life.
