Topic Scholarship requirements and success

Research Problem Many students today rely on scholarships to pay their way
through college. While some of those scholarships are needbased, a growing number are merit based. There are many
factors that go into college success, and society views merit
scholarships as beneficial; however, there are various
negative consequences of merit scholarships that need to be
evaluated deeper.
Purpose Statement The purpose of this paper is to explore success in college and
the outcomes and effects of merit based scholarships.
