Who should the Timberwolves Draft?

By: Donald Higney

Along with two picks in the second round, the Minnesota Timberwolves should be
able to get the first overall pick. So it comes to a question. Who should the
Timberwolves draft? We need to consider some factors.
1. Depth in the Timberwolves Team
2. Spots that need more depth
3. Rookies that could fit the Timberwolves well
Depth in the Timberwolves Team
The Timberwolves have 16 players. 5 power forwards, 3 small forwards, 3
centers, 2 shooting guards, 3 point guards. They dont need any more power
forwards. They have Kevin Garnett, a 20 year veteran whose one a
championship and MVP IN 2004. He could train them and make them into better
players. The Small Forward Position is fine, with Rookie of the Year Andrew
Wiggins. The Point Guard Position is fine, with Ricky Rubio playing for 6 years.
The Shooting Guard position needs work, but not worth to be drafted first. What
they desperately need is a center. Since Nikola Pekovic hurt his ankle, theyve
only had Gourgi Dieng, and Justin Hamilton.
Spots that need more depth
Center and Shooting Guard, but Center needs to be focused on.
Rookies that could fit the Timberwolves well
Theres one person that the Timberwolves need right now as a center. His name
is Jahlil Okafor, and he is the best player in the draft right now. As said with the
injuries in the Timberwolves center position, he should be the best player for the
Timberwolves.
