Coco Chanel

Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel (19 August 1883

10 January 1971) was a French fashion designer and founder of
the Chanel brand. Chanel was raised in an orphanage.
She had a brief career as a singer before opening her first
clothes shop in 1910.
She created a new look for women in the 20th century,
creating clothes that were primarily comfortable. A Chanel suit of
1923 or handbag is still seen as a landmark purchase for women
of increasingly younger ages. Her design was realized in jewelry,
handbags, and fragrance.
Her signature scent, Chanel No. 5, has become an iconic
product and is the best selling in the world
Chanel was known for her lifelong determination, ambition,
and energy which she applied to her professional and social life.
At the age of 70, Chanel made a triumphant return to the
fashion world. She first received scathing reviews from critics, but
her feminine and easy-fitting designs soon won over shoppers
around the world.
