2000 feet in altitude. An area of outstanding natural
beauty: it has many rivers, streams, waterfalls and
impressive valleys.

Bryn Celli Ddu (the mound in a dark

grove) is the best passage grave in
Wales. It started as a late Neolithic,

Wales is often called the "Land of

Castles" and rightly so, as it is home to
some of Europe's finest surviving
examples of medieval castle
construction. The most famous castles
in Wales are Chepstow in the southeast
of Wales, the picturesque Beaumaris on
the Isle of Anglesey, and the charming
Ewloe in the north.

The principal trades of

economy in Wales are:
- Industry, in fact there
are many textile and
iron factories;
- Agricolture, there are
many feedings of
sheeps and bovins;
- Tourism is very
important because
there are many
beautiful views.

the Germanic word Walha that
means foreign.
The national saying is: Cymru am
byth that means Wales forever.
The religion is catholic and
protestant, the patron saint is S.
David.
