The laws of the State of Ohio permit me to seek further review before the Ross County Court of Common Pleas. | intend to exercise that right. | am further requesting that my return to the Chillicothe Police Department be delayed until this matter can be formally resolved before the Court. ‘My fate thus far has been decided by politicians and their appointees. A court should decide the fate of ‘my twenty-three years of public service. This appeal gives me an opportunity to present the facts in an environment free from politics ~ an opportunity that | have thus far been deprived. Until then, a return to the Chillicothe Police Department as a patrolman is premature. My most important priority has been, and continues to be, the safety of the people of Chillicothe. My return as a patrolman will create unneeded disruption for the Department. It is for this reason that | will seek to delay my return until my status can be clarified by the Court's decision. This decision may not be popular. | know that this decision will delay the community's desire for closure.
