I first knew Connie as an intern, but later as a co-worker. I found her to be consistently pleasant, tackling all assignments with dedication and a smile. Besides being a joy to work with, she is bright, compassionate and genuinely well rounded. She has consistently met the challenges in our busy agency. In addition, she has actively participated in a diverse assortment of agency activities ranging from fund raisers Bowl For Kids Sake; to writing letters getting assistance for needy families, to delivering Christmas baskets, and Easter baskets to families. Connie has spent considerable time outside the agency involved in community activities. These activities have included volunteering at the Jackie Joyner Kersey Center, and Serving meals on Thanksgiving Day at St Patrick’s Church. Connie has made it clear to us that her goal is to do Social Work. To this end she has worked tirelessly in our “Amachi” mentoring program for children whose parents are incarcerated. Her work is excellent, her manner professional, and her dependability, loyalty and dedication unquestionable. She seems to thrive on providing the best possible service to all of our clients. It is clear to me as I hope it is to you that this young woman, Connie Kirkland, is an exceptional candidate, one who would contribute greatly to any program.
