The New Coronavirus Mers (Middle East respiratory-syndrome)

A new respiratory illness similar to the Sars virus has been identified. The name of the
new virus is Mers (Middle East respiratory-syndrome) coronavirus.Coronaviruses cause
respiratory infections in humans, animals and patients who have been infected with fever,
cough and difficulty breathing. Experts believe this virus may have been the result of a new
mutation of an existing virus or it may be an infection that has been circulating in animals
and has now made the jump to humans. Experts believe the virus is not very contagious
because outside of the body they can only survive for a day and are easily destroyed by usual

detergents and cleaning agents. The SARS virus can be transmitted from person to person
easily, but this virus does not. Experts research and stated there is no vaccine to prevent this
virus. Doctors do not yet know what the best treatment is, but people with symptoms will need
intensive medical care to help them breathe. Some general measures may help prevent its spread

by avoiding close contact, when possible, with anyone who shows symptoms of illness . Try to
be less stressed because the more stressed you are, the weaker your immune system is and the more
likely you are to develop symptoms. Coronavirus has been identified so people must be careful and
pay attention to all these points.
