ZXSDR B8200 W100 is responsible for base- band processing. This manual describes the network position, functions, features, protocol interfaces, indices and complied standards of ZXSDR 88200 W100 as well as module functions and principles and cable structures. This manual is intended for engineers and technicians who perform activities on ZXSDR 88200 W100. To use this manual effectively, users should have a general under- standing of ZXSDR 88200 W100 equipment and its components. Low labor and engineering expenses. Its small size and lightness facilitates transportation and engi- neering installation. Low room rent and quick network establishment, It is applicable to various scenarios. It can be installed on a tower, a building top or a wall. The flexible adaptability fa- Gilitates quick network deployment and saves room rents and network operation expenses 3. Convenient expansion. It supports multiple carrier sectors. The number of cabinets varies with the actual situation. 4. Decrease in total number of sites. The RU can be installed as close to the antenna as possible, which saves feeder expenses, reduces feeder loss, improves RRU on-top output power and increases the coverage. 5, Low power consumption. Comparing with traditional BSs, the BBU+RRU distributed BS has lower power consumption, which reduces power invest ment, saves electrical expenses and network operation cost. 6. Energy conservation ‘The power consumption in the typical configuration (13S) is less than 95 W. With high integration, it saves more power than traditional BSs, benefiting the construction of future green networks. 2. Easy installation and maintenance ZXSDR_B8200 W100 is only 2 U high. Supporting front ca- bie leading-out, it can be installed on a tower, on the top of a building, on a wall, in an outdoor cabinet, or share a 19-inch standard rack with other devices. The convenient installation and maintenance greatly decreases labor and engineering ex- penses for network construction 3. Small size, fast deployment and low cost It can share the existing auxiliary devices such as the rack, power supply and transmission devices, saving transport ex- penses and room rents. The R6 interface supports both optical and electrical interfaces, which benefits the selection of sites, hence facilitating fast deployment of networks and decreasing the cost of network construction and maintenance 4. Advanced technologies Based on the all-IP platform, the ZXSDR 88200 W100 supports multicarrier, inter-carrier load balancing and multi-antenna (MIMO/BF/(MIMO+BF)/CDD) technologies, which improves data throughput, enlarges coverage and implements highly efficient radio networks. 5. Flexible configuration and convenient expansion Configured with different numbers of baseband boards, the ZXSDR B8200 W100 can support 1CS ~ 12CS (10 MHz) of baseband capacities, facilitating upgrading and expansion. This saves the investment at the early stage of network construction. 6. Flexible power supply modes It supports built-in -48 V DC and external 110 V/220 V AC power supplies, applicable to various power supply environ- ments. 7. Ability to synchronize with various satellites It can be synchronized with GPS, and optionally synchronized with GLONASS and plough satellites. 8. High reliability Key boards such as CC support redundant backup, which im- proves the system reliability. 9. Appearance Based on the L!TCA architecture, the ZXSDR 88200 W100 consists of one chassis Figure 3 shows the appearance of the ZXSDR 88200 W100. After R6 interface protocol termination, they are sent to the baseband MAC and PHY layer processing modules for WiMAX protocol processing through the gigabit Ethernet. After undergoing crossover, framing, paral- [el-to-serial conversion, the demodulated 1Q data is distributed to RRUs through the OBSAI optical interface = Reverse service The service signals from RRU are multiplexed and processed at PHY and MAC layer. Fibers are used to connect baseband-RF interfaces physically. This networking mode is more reliable than the chain networking mode but costs more transmission resources, = Ina chain network, multiple RRUs form a chain and then are connected to the BBU. This networking mode is more reliable than the chain networking mode applicable to the areas in band distribution. It is a WEB browser for on-site maintenance of BSs. MC (i,e., NetNumen™ M3(WiMAX OMC-8)), which is used to remotely manage NEs Here describes the ZXSDR 88200 W100 operation and mainte- nance through OMC. The NetNumen™ M3(WiMAX OMC-8) network management sys- tem integrates the management of the global network to pro- vide a complete operation and maintenance function. It supports ZTE WiMAX series products, centralizes the management of these products and provides standard northbound interfaces for the up~ per-level network management system The NetNumen™ M3 (WiMAX OMC-8) provides abundant appl cable management functions, satisfying various management re- quirements in actual network operations. It delivers the maintenance functions required by TMN Specifi- cation such as configuration management, alarm management, security management and performance management, as well as topology management, system management, log management, tool console and integrated system analysis. The chassis means the body of ZXSDR B8200 W100, while the rack means the supporting shelf of boards Modules Module Structure Features ‘The ZXSDR B8200 W100 is a baseband unit based on the MicroTCA, architecture MicroTCA (also called pTCA) is an improved ATCA based on the PICMG standard.
