Legacy Project Reflection

The Legacy Project in Ancient World has really helped me learn many things in
the class. All year in this class we have been writing prcis and essays for different
religions, and this project helped to bring together all the writing and reading skills I had
acquired this year and apply to one single project. Over the course of the past year in this
class, I have learned how to formulate specific thesis, arguments to support the thesis
and evidence that supports the idea. During this project, I used all of these skills to help
formulate my essay, but writing the essay was much harder in terms of specifying the
arguments. The project really helped me learn how to narrow down my information to
keep my essay on one focused point. Not only did the project help me with my writing
skills, but it also helped me with making connections as well. The Weebly part of our
project really helped me make connections to other religions and cultures, and to different
aspects of the 21st century. Making connections is a large part of understanding history in
the ancient world, and this project really helped me in learning how to apply all of my
knowledge about the different cultures. Overall, the Legacy Project allowed me to tie
together all of my knowledge about writing and making connection to apply to this last
big project, and it also helped me learn more about this that I can use in my future classes
at Newark Academy.
