The first post-socialist president of Czechoslovakia, Vaclav Havel, gives an address to the
nation in 1990 that is hosted by the U.S. Senate and U.S House of Representatives. Translated
from the Czech language to English, Havel describes his countrys ruined economy,
environment, and education system. His inaugural address that is presented in the video of the
actual event, promises a transparent nation, restoration of neglected institutions, and respect for
all citizens.

It was presented in the New York Times. It is a combination of people interviewing her and her
giving a speech to a large crowd. This is a good example for people to go to for information
because it gives them a general idea of how strong a leader she was as well.

In the interview, former Polish president, Lech Walesa, explains how he resisted
Communist rule in 1990 with his national trade union known as Solidarity. He states how he was
fired from many of his simple jobs because of his protests and he also talks about how the first
Polish pope won the support of many, which concerned the Communists. Walesas strikes gained
victory in the shipyard and helped the demolishment of the Iron Curtain.

Ronald Reagan states his opinion about how Gorbachev needs to tear down the Berlin
wall. The video is very reliable because it is from the event itself. This primary source is very
important because it is what caused Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin wall. The information I

In the spokesmans review, refugees are quoted, describing the horrors of Serb ethnic
cleansing. Those who were interviewed describe the treatment Bosnians received from guards
and concentration camps. The Serbs would take Bosnians to death camps in Omarska and
Trnopolje, burn down houses, and shoot many on the spot. Those who were quoted explained
how they lost most of their family and friends, and also how they witnessed gruesome murders.
This interview on genocide proves the hatred of Bosnians to Serbs.

United States. That makes this document primary. This source is strictly the Treaty so it was very
easy to navigate and finding information was quite simple. It is a reliable source because the
information provides evidence of the treaty that Jimmy Carter signed.

where students rallied for a non-Communist government. To visualize the peaceful revolt, the

that read, Vaclav Havel as President on each of them. The article provides a lot of information
on the event, along with facts on the outcomes from the protest.

which is Germanys international broadcaster, where they give reliable news and information.

domino effect with other countries. This source is reliable because it would be like watching our
daily news. It is from abc which is still around today.

that eventually led to his resignation.

revolutions occurred. It begins with February-April when there were arguments of the Polish

key points during the Eastern Europe revolutions, along with the month they occurred.
