POINT PAPER: Finished Experts/Teaser Copy and Drafted Blog Interview

Statements
Subject. This week I was responsible for finishing the expert/teaser
copy and I drafted my first set of interview questions for blog post #1.
Background. Providing the About the Expert copy for the blog
emersion project is important because it links parents to the experts in
each blog post. Connecting the doctors to future patients is important
because they are the experts for the particular topic of the post. This
helped a lot when I started writing questions for the first blog post I
wrote. I already knew which doctor would be the best for the post and
their level of experience with the topic. I knew exactly what to ask that
was specific to their specialty.
Discussion.
On the first day of the week at my internship I finished the 89 (total)
teaser copies to be added to the new blog portion of the Childrens
National website. The expert teaser was not there previously and it is
needed to connect patients to doctors. Creating the teaser copy helped
me sharpen my writing skills and my supervisor was very impressed.
She made very few edits to my work and I was proud I did a good job.
The harder part about writing teaser copy is condensing the bios and
creating some bios for different doctors. I had to figure out the best
information to include that was still under a certain amount of
characters.
The second day of the week that I worked I had to create questions for
my first blog post. I thought this would be very easy considering I
wrote bios about all the doctors that usually help with blog posts. The
topic of the first blog is How to Manage Your Childs Pain Post Surgery.
I researched about the topic and focused on questions parents would
ask about this topic.
Recommendation.

The fourth week of my internship I learned that I have a lot of

independence on the job. I have to stay organized and remain on a
steady paste in order to finish my work to receive new assignments. I
learned I have to:

Prioritize
Work smart
Finish Assignments faster
