The Cradle Will Rock

Tensions between two groups come to a head the night of a union

drive in Steeltown, U.S.A. Through the eyes of a prostitute,
Moll, who was arrested and brought to night court with members
of the Liberty Committee, we see the development of efforts
made against the formation of a union in the town under the
orchestration of Mr. Mister. Larry Foreman serves as the union
head and primary resistance to Mr. Mister, demonstrating his
strength and conviction in the final scene of the show when he
refuses Mr. Misters deal to end the union proceedings. Larrys
efforts result in the organization of thousands of workers who
come together to resist an oppressive force against them.
