Even though we live thousands of miles away from our beloved Bangladesh, our

heart and soul still roams around the four corners of Bangladesh every moment
and in every breath. As they say, Home is where the Heart is.
16th of December, 2013 Bangladesh will celebrate her 42nd Independence Day.
After fighting a war of survival; which lasted nine long months; 42 years ago on
this special day she earned her freedom as a free nation.
To commemorate and celebrate the 42nd birth of our nation, we (the Bangladeshi
people of Bolton, UK) are planning to organize a Gala event on the 22 nd of
December, 2013. The day will be filled with video presentations on Bangladesh,
War of Independence. War & Remembrance- a talk by a Muktijoddha, and a
well-orchestrated cultural show depicting our struggle for Independence among
other items.
Organizing an event of this magnitude involves a lot of spade work and most
importantly it costs lot money. In order to organize this successfully we need all
the help we can get from all walks of life. We require a handsome amount of
sponsorship from the strong Bangladeshi Business Community.
In lieu of the above we would kindly request all Bangladeshi people living in the
UK and Bangladeshi Business Community in UK to come forward and help us
generously to make this event a success. Without your help it will be very
difficult for us to cater for all the costs involved in this event.
In return to your generous offer, we will publish your name on our event
pamphlet, and we will also organize an exposure to the electronic media for your
esteemed business organization. Not to mention that we will also publicly thank
you for all your contributions during the event.

This event is not only for people of Bolton and North West of UK, but also for our
future generation who will not be able to preserve our culture, struggle and
history unless we show them the light and leave a legacy thru our heartfelt
endeavour.
