Luckily, not all our fixations have evil tendencies.
In most cases, however, we
disguise our evil inclinations and expose in the most strident manner the good ones. Sometimes we mask evil inclinations under inclinations towards good, especially when we want to be eulogized. As for impulses, we certainly master it in two cases: when we are subordinated and when interests are in play. In very few cases, actually, man is willing to give up to impulse and to deal with the society. That is why relationships go wrong at a certain point. Because the beginning is a game of interests, centered on winning the other's heart or his sexual favours but, once this done, the most primitive impulses of man are no longer able to mantain the pact with the society and, as a pressurized gas, precipitate into the atmosphere.
