To Whom It May Concern:
Alysha Bessie has asked me to write a letter of recommendation for her, andit is with pleasure that 1doso. Alysha
\was a student teacher under my supervision in the Fall 2012 semester, and during that time! found her to be a
kmawledgaable, thoughtul, hardworking professional
Elementary students respond well to Alysha's warm, welcoming attitude. She works hard to get all students to
participate and succeed. She does well whan differentiating instruction and s especially successful at integrating
technology intoher lessons. She is able to communicate with students in plain language without talking down to
them and she planned at an appropriate level for third graders. Her students clearly relished her attention and she
enjoyed working with her class.
Alysha is thoughtful regarding her own lesson planning and execution, often noting areas of improvement without
prompting from her cooperating teacher ar myself. She welcomes professional feedback and readily implements
suggestions at the next available opportunity. She cansiders the effectiveness of her lessons and looks for ways to
improve or adapt them ta ensure student success. Her willingness to reflect and adapt will sorvo hor well
throughout her career as she will continue to adapt and madify lessons to improve her own effectiveness and
boost student achievement.
Finally, Alysha is also a teacher who is concerned about her students. She makes every effort to connect with
them personally, and to greet and speak with each student dally. She is firm yet kind with students who are not
cooperating, and has patience with her students when they stray off task, She has often expressed his concerns.
about students she sees faltering-either academically or secially. She is willing to work with students, parents, and
ather staff members to help any child need.
‘Alysha was an excellent student teacher who impressed staff and administration with her abilites. She was
offered an after school latchkey position, along term sub position after graduation and currenty works as an RTI
support staff member in the building where she student taugnt because she worked hard and showed initiative
during her student teaching. | recommend you add this fine professional to your teaching staff as she will be &
