The April 26, 1986 exploded reactor No. 4

of the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant , impacting
the world with the greatest ecological and
human tragedy of all time

Since then, radiation poisoned life of

approximately 8 million people in Belarus,
Ukraine and Russia,

In the years following the explosion, entire

communities were evacuated days as
radiation levels at home were extremely
harmful to health.

People had to leave their homes one day

to another

Thirty-one people died at the time of the

accident

All contaminated area currently has forbidden

access. Checkpoints There are strict limits on the
forbidden zone and an army checkpoint and
scientists and engineers inside, though several
miles of the plant, which control their condition.

Past 25 years even children are born with

congenital malformations due to radioactivity
