Dear Presenter: Thank you for agreeing to present and/or participate in the Academic Learning Program Career Fair at Oak Park and River Forest High School. We could not host this event, for our students, without your involvement. Our students are thrilled to learn about your field/industry and to personally engage with you. Our goal is to provide a unique opportunity for our students to meet and talk with representatives from many different industries and explore personal areas of interest, to further their post-secondary planning efforts. Students in our program have a wide range of post-secondary goals that include attending a two or four year college/university, trade/vocational schools, and careers that require other forms of training and certifications. You were invited because our students expressed an interest in your specific career/industry. Enclosed in this mailing, you will find the agenda for the day. To provide you with time to set-up and appropriately prepare, we are recommending that you arrive between 8:30 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. The fair is taking place on one of our late arrival days and the street can get pretty congested, closer to 9:45 a.m. You will need enter at the Main Entrance (on Scoville) and check-in at the Welcome Desk. You will be asked to present your ID and will be given a visitors badge. We will also make sure that you are directed to the location of the fair. If you are planning on giving a more formal presentation that requires the use of technology, we have VGA cords, a projector, and a large screen. If you are using a MacIntosh, we do not have adapters on site. Please bring the adapters you will need. Tables and chairs will be provided for you, during the fair. We have included a parking pass that needs to be displayed in your drivers side rear window. Parking is available on the corner of Lake and Scoville, in the covered lot. To avoid a ticket, please do not back into the parking spotpull forward. There is also a map of designated areas that will accept the S2 parking pass. We have enclosed a map of additional designated areas for parking. Please feel free to contact us with any questions and concerns.
