How does Temperature affect cellular reparation of a goldfish?

Cellular Respiration is the process in which cells make ATP by breaking down organic
compounds.
Hypothesis: If temperature increases, then the rate of respiration will increase.
We will know
many breaths the fish has taken by counting the number of times its gills contract
(contractions of the gills covers).
Independent Variable: Number of breaths taken
Dependent Variable: Temperature
Materials:

Four beakers

Water

Thermometer

Goldfish

Data table
Procedures:
1. The goldfish will start at room temperature. Record the temperature and record
the number of breaths the fish take at room temperature for 30 seconds
2. Place another beaker at another temperature and add the goldfish to it
3. Place a thermometer in the beaker and watch how the temperature changes
4.When it reaches each of the temperatures in the data table, determine how many
breaths the fish takes
5. replace beaker with warm water to raise the temperature
