HowtoUsetheLocalStorageSharing(Samba)Feature

The Local storage sharing feature allows you to share a USB storagedevice thats connected to the
router,(USBDriveormobileHardDiskDrive)tootherwiredorwirelessusersonthesamenetwork.

HOWTOSETUP:
Plug the USB storage into the USB port of the TPLINK router and wait until the USB LED is solid
green.

YoucanaccesstheUSBStoragebythefollowingsteps:

ForWindowsUsers:
WindowsXP:
GotoStart>Run
Input\\tplinklogin.netinthedialogbox.
ClickOK

WindowsVista/7:
GotoStart
Typeruninthesearchbox
Opentherunapplication
Input\\tplinklogin.netinthedialogbox.
ClickOK

ForMacOSXUsers:
Onthetoptray,gotoGo>ConnecttoServer

InputServerAddresssmb://tplinklogin.net

ClickConnect

ForLinuxUsers:
On the top tray, go to Places > Connect to
Server

ChooseServicetypeWindowsshare

InputServertplinklogin.net

ClickConnect

If you encounter the error on the right,


please input /volume1 or /volume9 in the
Folderbox.

Volume1~8maptheUSBdriveconnectingto
USBport1;
Volume9~16 map the USB drive connecting
toUSBport2.

Note:
SomeUSBstoragedevicesmayrequireusingthebundledexternalpower.

Tosetupdifferentaccountsforaccessrightsprotection,pleaselogintototheWebmanagementpage
andsetitonUSBSettings>StorageSharingandUSBSettings>UserAccounts.
